Our Story
Avessis LLC was founded with a simple mission: to share the soul of Morocco with the world, one rug at a time.
Growing up surrounded by the vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and warm textures of Moroccan homes, we came to deeply appreciate the artistry behind every handwoven rug. Each piece reflects the unique identity of the artisan who made it — her emotions, her region, her family's tradition, and the stories passed down through generations.
When we moved to the United States, we noticed how difficult it was to find truly authentic, ethically sourced Moroccan rugs. Most were mass-produced imitations, stripped of their cultural depth and made far from the villages where these traditions were born. We wanted to change that.
From our base in Miami, Florida, we partnered directly with skilled artisans and women-led cooperatives across Morocco — in the Atlas Mountains, the Middle Atlas, and the vibrant souks of Marrakech — to bring you rugs that are as genuine as they are beautiful.
